Skid Plates, K20 Pickup longbed
Also known as a 4x4 3/4 ton pickup.
Pictures of a k20 with skid plates on it would be great. I don't know what the correct skid plates look like. Six pages of skid plate posts when I search. All kinds of skid plates spread across all sub groups. Most of these posts are confusing. Some with very little description, some with a lot but in the wrong sub group. Yeah, I know I am being redundant, everyone knows k20 is a 3/4 ton, and a pickup from a blazer. But I have received the wrong thing in the past. Big hassle. Re: Skid Plates, K20 Pickup longbed
You might have better luck posting this in the 4x4 group.

Re: Skid Plates, K20 Pickup longbed
To clarify, only Blazers/Jimmys could be had with skid plates from GM (tcase and fuel tank). That said, you can use the OEM Transfer case skid plate from a K5 on a K20 - see pics of my K20 linked in my signature. Alternatively, you could use a period correct Hickey style NP 205 skid plate, which I have on the k1500 GMC linked in my signature.

Re: Skid Plates, K20 Pickup longbed
I hear ya on the K/20 thing. For years I've been telling parts people "'71 K/20" only to have them ask "1/2 or 3/4t?" then ask "2wd or 4wd?". I feel like saying "Aren't you going to ask what year?". You start saying both up front.
The only thing redundant is saying longbed since no matter what you call them they are all longbeds. There were several companies selling the same transfer case skid-plate in the 70-80s. I got mine from Dick Cepek.
