350 TBI from '94 Van into a '86 Squarebody
I have a '86 Squarebody which I am in a process of restoring. Here my project thread. Currently, it got a 305 motor in it.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...13#post7875213 Someone heard about my project and offered to sell me his '94 Van with a 350 TBI and a 700r4 tranny. The motor have 135,000 miles on it and it still runs. He asking 950 for the whole Van. Will the 350 and tranny from that van drops right into my truck without doing any major modification? The owner of the van believe it should drop right in and that even my original driveshaft will fit. Will 350 require a bigger radiator or fan. The radiator in my truck is still the original factory one. I know I will need to add a electric pump but could a gas tank from that van be used instead since it already have a electric pump inside of it or it better to keep original gas tank and use an external electric pump near the tank? Any input on this will be greatly appreciated. Bill |

Pretty sure it will work without being modified. But not sure on the driveshaft also aren't the '86 c10's non TBI? There is a guy on YouTube that pretty much tells you what's involved with it.
I personally would use the radiator from the donor. Good luck!

I wouldn't worry about the radiator unless it started running warm. Just keep the van radiator as a back up. You could buy an 87 gas tank and fuel pump set up if you want to go efi.

Sounds like alot of money for a TBI parts truck. I've bought two LS swap donors for that much cash.
