87 sierra

I'm helping a buddy of mine do a LS swap into his sierra, he's got a 87, how much of his old ecm wiring do we need to leave in if any? my swap was a 84 so i didnt have any of those electronics.

i havnt been on here much since i had to get a job...

Just curious about the wiring, don't want to yank it out and find out there's some random wire in there I need,

I believe that some of the harness folks like the guys below can make you a custom harness that will connect with your factory bulkhead. Give them a call. I know there are others, these are highly regarded on ls1tech.

We are already running a harness....doing a stand alone from the original, i already cut out the old crap and prepping the engine bay for the 5.3, just didn't want to cut that one random wire I may need lol

You don't need any of it . The harness you are talking about was independent and for engine only . Rip it all out .
