DBW Accelerator pedal

I want to keep the factory pedal in my 72 (without altering or just welding the pad onto the new pedal), is there a remote pedal, similar to this TCI TPS,
that plugs into the TAC module?

If not, I might be looking at an older engine or converting a newer one to work with a cable.

Thanks!

PS: looking at an LM7 using the factory computer.

Re: DBW Accelerator pedal

Why not just switch the throttle from dbw to dbc if your wanting to keep your factory pedal..that's what I did on my lq9

I'll probably be going this route, and following this guide: http://www.lt1swap.com/cable_conversion.htm

This looks pretty original to me, . Bolts into the factory location and uses the factory pedal pad and trim.

Re: DBW Accelerator pedal

Dang skier..I just glanced thru that link you posted and my heads swimming..I'd have to read thru it when I get time...all it took me to swap from dbw to dbc was to swap the throttle (butterfly) on the intake..i used one from a 99 camaro ..the guy that setup my ecm programmed it for bdc and my harness was built for dbc..all I had to do was plug it in..and ad a throttle cable..fairly simple

That's only if you have a newer ECM and harness and don't want to buy another ECM, harness, etc...

I just remembered why I wanted to go with DBW: cruise control. Do you have cruise control? Not really sure how GM did cruise control for drive by cable applications.
