Making progress!
Hard to believe it's taken me four months to get to this stage, but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As soon as I strip the doors and tailgate I got from 1970blazin I'll be ready to finish the bodywork and get it primered. What really sucks is that I don't think one panel didn't have at least three layers of paint and primer to sand off! Oh well, at least I will know what's underneath when I'm all done.
Here's the before.....

looking good, are you going to keep it the orginal color? Is that the original roll bar? Oh, and what is that metal thing on the front drip edge?

Jaydub,
The original factory color was metallic gold...the truck had two different layers of gold underneath the green I am going with gold but a 72 color. My dad has a 72 el camino painted two tone gold and brown and it looks sweet. The roll bar is stock as far as I know and the metal piece at the top of the windshield has snaps for the soft top that was included with the blazer.

I saw the stuff your dad picked up because i was there getting parts at the same time. Good quality used stuff u picked up. As 4 1970blazins parts blazer it is pretty much toast.Once that windsheild frame was cut the poor blazer died.
