what color for rims

as the title say's--this is for my 4x4 k10, so a little different look than a c10 would have. Two options of mine are body color or white. (have a set of skinny's with black rims) old rims didn't fit over my new disc brakes, so why the new rims. 10.50/15 tires are on the old rims as they were reversed as why they don't fit. a few pics---How did this post get so long lol! And thanks for your opinion-----

Re: what color for rims

I personally like the black skinny wheel look myself, but I know that wasn't one of the options. I think the body color wheels look good, no wait white, oh I don't know! I am in a constant state of wanting to change the wheel color on my truck because I like the way they all look. Mine have been white, black, grey, currently silver, and now I'm thinking black again. My point is, either body color or white will look great on your truck. That's one fine truck! (OK, I vote body color for now)

Beautiful truck! I like the colour but I'd go black or white myself that white looks like a off white little greyish?? I like it

Re: what color for rims

On that truck, I would go with a Argent Silver wheel with a body color pinstripe on the wheel.

Re: what color for rims

prefer skinnies with black, but understand the disk dilemma. If the color choice was between only white and body color, and you were doing it on skimnies - I'd say body color. But for some reason, the body color doesn't work as well for me with wider non-stock wheels, so I'd have to say white. Odd choice, and surprised I'm saying it, as they didn't come white originally. Having said all that - since you're choosing - is black not an option for the new wheels? That would be my first choice and I think it would move it closer to the stock "look" which you seem to have preferred - as do I! Or scrap it all and get some early/mid-70s disk friendly K5/10 aluminum slots!

Re: what color for rims

Now I'm getting confused lol! the black skinny's are on 16/6 rims and will be a second set and they fit the disc. They will stay as they are. the new rims in the pic are gray primer. the body color ones are the ones that don't fit.

I would go with body color wheels. Plan on running any hubcaps?

Awesome truck! Myself, I like tall skinny tires with body color rims. Top it off with some white dog dish caps. With how nice your truck is, you can't go wrong either way!!

Yeah, this Burb 4x4 (not mine, but I wish it was!) setup always makes me drool when I look at it. I plan to do the same thing on mine with Army/Tank green body and rims, with white top, grill and bumpers. Seeing these photos is extra motivation to get it done!

Re: what color for rims

#1..black..looks the best to me
#2..white/primer
#3..body color
If I was using white or body color I think it would look better with some dog dish 4x4 style caps..

Re: what color for rims

Hmm I like them white or black or silver or body color I guess it's your preference and what looks good with the rest of truck theme your going with...I went with body color on mine, but sometimes I think white would look good to...but for now there painted body color...
I have to paint my new bed to match...

I like the wide wheels too and love my pizza cutter skinnies, that's the look I was going for like the ole NAPCO look tall and skinny..

I like the body color or white or silver. It depends on the body color scheme. I am not a fan of all black wheels.

Re: what color for rims

C'mon Kimble give the antique whites a try. I think mine are Rustoleum Painters touch or Outdoor Accents. My MIL left it laying around and it "disappeared". Never did solve that mystery. Anyway, I like the white or off white look. Matches the grill perfectly. Wasnt intended but still perfect match.

Re: what color for rims

The black looks sweet but since you already have a set I'd say body color with caps to break it up a bit or an off white. Just my .02¢

Re: what color for rims

White--it'd pick up the grill and front bumper. (I'm assuming they're white).
Black always looks "right," and it picks up the color of your headache rack.

In my opinion, if a truck is a dark blue or green, body-color wheels look good. If it's another color, (red, yellow, orange, light blue), body color wheels are "too much." On those, white or black wheels both look good as a contrast.

I like body color, or black. Body color would be my first choice though!

Re: what color for rims

Thanks for all the great reply's and pics. I still have enough body color but not enough white that i used on the grill/turn sig inserts. Maybe one side body color and the other side white lol. You can't see both sides at the same time.
