Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
I am in total agreement, but a short apache bed is $$$$ anyway. if you want a fleet you are going to spend some money.

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
I agree, considering the cost of a decent 60 year old box (if you can find one) and the time and expense of prepping it for paint, the price of a new box may not be too unreasonable.

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
I'm NOT considering making a change on my truck so close to it being finished, but my bed is in primer and ALMOST about to be sprayed in color so I'm curious. Anyone know the price? I assume a short fleet would be a straight bolt-on to a '55,'56, '57 frame?

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
Since they seem to be the only one making it, I'll say $4400.

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
I sold them the old tail light housings from my 59 Fleetside a couple months ago. They needed some good ones to clone.
They are a legit outfit and my guess is that the side panels will be less that $1000 each. |

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
^^^^really^^^^under a grand...I guessed much higher...but for the complete bed....I hope they use close to stock thickness metal..would suck if its so thin you couldn't touch it without warping..

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
To clarify things: The bedsides are completed and what I was posting for; not complete beds. We assembled the bed to make sure that everything fit 100% (Including installing the wood bed floor). As far as the quality I think folks will be very happy.

I have used their parts and the quality is good. Nobody happier than me to see these are going to be available, I am planning my next truck and was thinking I would have to go stepside. Nothing wrong with stepside trucks, just my preference. |

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
Mar-K already makes the front panel, rear cross sill, tailgate, bed kits and hardware, all that was missing was the Fleetside bed sides.

Re: Did someone say "Bed"?
Very cool, love 58-58 fleetsides esp with the deluxe trim but I'll stick with the stepside. To me, nothing tougher looking than a short step with a big back window, but to each his own!!
