Truck bed, seats, sheet metal and lots of rustoleum

Bolted together the truck bed and front end, also installed the seats.
I find that body work is not something I enjoy and not very good at, so the gaps and misalignment are staying for a while and I will drive, something I haven't done much of in the 15 years I have owned this truck, as a "rat rod". Or at least that is the story I will be telling as there are far to many dents and I don't want end up with a bondo special.

GM wasn't too interested in fit and finish back in the day, so it probably looks better than new. Be sure to use backing plates when bolting those seats in...

Re: Truck bed, seats, sheet metal and lots of rustoleum

For sure the fit and finish was not great back in the day and having parts from several different trucks doesn't help.
I built some stands for the seats to get them up high enough to see out the windows and used rivet nuts to bolt them to the floor. I placed large gussets on the stands and still had to modify the seats to get them to fit.
