carbed 350 tbi?
Went to local salvage yard today, saw this intake and holly carb in a '95 Chevy truck it also had an old hei distributor on a tbi engine. How can you run a carb on a tbi without an aftermarket intake?

May not be the factory motor. A PO may have swapped in a crate motor and serpentine belt setup. Or could have installed a manifold pulled from a earlier setup. There are several topics here on converting a FI setup to carb and vice-versa.

i recently bought a 1991 chevy for parts. has the throttle body on it but when i ran the numbers on the block it game back as a 1981. so im guessing someone probably blew up the block years ago and just swapped over the heads and intake |

That's an early model cast iron Quadrajet style intake.
A TBI intake is aluminum and looks drastically different. Picture of the one on my 74....
