Re: task force pics

Got my truck back Friday after being without it since Christmas. Did a cruise in Saturday but it's been in the garage since then due to hurricane Irma. I got this off of FB, not a good pic but all I have at the moment.

Some from various sources except mine (Sage green one in my driveway) before I tore it down to the frame for the redo.

Beautiful Truck, congrats!

What size & width rims & tires are you running? I've got 17x8 Boyd's Smoothie II's for mine (not yet installed) hat I got a great deal on but I'm not convinced yet that they're really what I want. Your look IS what I want. Thanks, Dan

Hey countofmontecarlo84, what wheels are on yours? Are those American Racing?? And what did you do to set up the stance your truck has? (front & rear)

Yeah, American Racing Torque Thrust II's. 20x10 in the rear and 18x8 in the front. I can't remember the tire sizes at the moment. I will have to look when I get home. You will have to do some fender rolling in the front to be able to turn lock to lock.

Someone asked about the suspension. The front is Flat Out Engineering C4 Corvette subframe system, the rear is stock frame, and a air ride system.

GMC never made a "Task Force" truck... that was a chevy advertising thing.

GMC called the 1955-1959 trucks "Blue Chip Money Makers". It is common to refer to them as "Blue Chip" trucks.
