how tall for 44s
this is the thing, my cousin has an like his own personal junkyard on our farm and everyone in the family wants it gone so I got a 73-75 blazer for free since i have been needing a project vehicle for school so i am going to pick it up within the next 2 weeks but it has no running gear at all not even axles but i can get those pretty cheap so i am going to build it up but i am going to make it a large 4x4 for hunting and just having fun, but i want to know how much lift do i need to put 44 tires on it.

I have 38's on my 73 w/ 6'' lift only, but I cut the **** out of the fender well's and looks prety cool. I bet you do the same thing w/ a 8'' lift and 3'' body lift w/ cutting the fender well's thats what I did on my other rig 76 p/u and it clears 44's and all my rigs go off road. JOHN

I would go with about a 12" Suspension lift and possibly a body lift after that. I personally would n't hack the **** out of the fenders I might take the cutter to them a little but that is just my opinion.

What axles are you planning on running? i assume at least d60's or go big and get a set or rockwells

if its just for hunting and play around, i would say hack the fenders.. I suppose it really depends on what terrain you will be in....if you plan on mud bogging a 12"+ lift would be good.. but other than that.. keep COG low and go with the smallest lift you can.. 6-8" and some fender hacking.
