Anyone running Brockman Mellowtone mufflers?
Just wondering if anyone is running these on their trucks...thinking about getting a pair.

Had them in the past on a stock 350 with 2 inch pipe. Rather loud, raspy, rat rod sound. Best with a full system all the way out the back...imo. I liked it actually

Re: Anyone running Brockman Mellowtone mufflers?
Porters are what I have now on my 283 still in 2 inch pipe. They are a different sound than Brokmans but still pretty loud. I used to dump in front of the rear wheels but it was getting to me on long drives. I added over the axle tail pipes which helped for sure. They do still sound great but now it's no longer "too much of a good thing". As for Porter vs. Brockman.... it's a matter of preference but if you're into rippin' the ol' school glass pack sound, you'll like them both. Remember, smaller pipes create a raspier pitch.

I have them on my '66 w/283. Right before the rear tires. I like the sound.

I am. Manifolds to 24" steel packs to rear angle exit behind rear tires. Motor is 305e. I am happy with the sounds an was very happy with the build quality of the mufflers.
