Newbie Wheel question
Well, I don't have my 72 Jimmy yet but I've been on this forum for the last 5 days learning a ton so thank you all for the lessons and knowledge. Today's question is what I think is an easy one. Looking at putting steelies on the Jimmy with caps and wondering if there is somewhere that makes recreations of these wheels and caps? I've looked for originals and have struggled so far. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

A71Blazer, thanks for the lead. Is it ok to put Chevy caps on a Jimmy? Also, where do I find wheels to fit? I'm learning about these but don't want to buy the wrong thing. 4 nub, 3 nub, not sure what this all means. Thanks again.

If I instead end up going with an aluminum wheel in the 15x10 size can anyone share the offset required to clean. brakes and not have to mod anything else. Thanks.

I found originals on ebay for my Jimmy relatively reasonably priced...havent put them on yet but theyre easy to find. Gmc a little more difficult but theyre out there.

I Just picked up a set of 15x8's to replace my 15x6's. not sure yet but may sell my 15x6s shown in the pic.

If your Jimmy has factory axles and brakes, I'd be looking for a 3.875" backspace in a 15" wheel. That is what all the 15x8 "factory" dealer steelies are. I don't think I would go greater than 4" without a some measurement checking.
Just bear in mind a 10" wheel is that much wider putting some extra rubber outside the fender. What size of a tire are you wanting to run? Is the Jimmy at factory ride height?
