Deluxe Trim modifications
I have a set of deluxe trim I want to add to my 51 3600
The deluxe trim was originally designed for the panel trucks as this picture The trim works on the front fender of AD trucks but not on the rear fender...but it is being used and frequently My question is how to modify the rear 3 pieces of trim. Does someone provide this service or trim that fits? I have searched this for about 2 days with no luck and searching through all the builds that come up on a search here might take more time than I have left on this earth Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Deluxe Trim modifications
If it's made of stainless steel, you can have the pieces welded and then polished.
If it's not stainless, you can make them in steel and have them chrome plated.

Foot Stomper, I had never thought about that, even though I've seen it done on stainless exhaust tubing.
BuckeyenNJ, are those pieces the same width all the entire length? If so, it wouldn't be hard to get some strips of stainless and make your own. |

Re: Deluxe Trim modifications
They are stainless, rolled about 1/4" with a return of about 3/16" to hold the Seems like it would be easier to modify than to duplicate with flat stock

Re: Deluxe Trim modifications
Here are some pictures of a repair I made to a hole someone had drilled in the stainless trim on my 59.
