4 wire cruise switch
I need the function for the 4 wires in the early GM cruise switch. I've got everything else lined up, but I need to verify which wire does which function for the yellow, red, green, and brown wires for this lever. In some old posts, I've seen switches that have a blue wire instead of brown. Anyone?

Are you sure it's a factory switch? Factory switches don't have a brown wire, but many aftermarket ones do. What are you hooking this up to?

ls1nova71, yes, it's an aftermarket switch. Its going in my Jimmy, which has a 6.0 LS motor and it's DBW. I've got my TAC wires set aside, but just don't know what the function is for the switch wires.

I'm using an original Blazer turn signal handle with a late model 4 wire switch installed into it. It's wired directly to the TAC module.

It appears that some people had to use the relays and some didn't. Are the relays just if you're running LED brake lights?

The relays are for when you're using an aftermarket switch. If you're using a factory switch they are normally open switches, but aftermarket switches are normally closed, so the relays are used to reverse the switches. You will need them to use the switch you have, just wire it like the way it shows in the link I provided.

My first attempt at wiring the cruise up worked like a charm. Very awesome to have cruise in a 45 year old truck! Thanks fellas. Y'all's instructions were perfect!

Hi All, really nice to see so much info but apparently my steering column is different.. It's a tilt but when I looked at the turn signal to pull it out, it does not have the set screw that I see in the pics posted, mine screws in...? Does that mean there is no way I can get my mine to work with cruise control for my 5.3 Vortech…? I sure hope I don't have to look for another steering column...
