64 - C10 - LS swap questions

Doing a swap on a 1964 2wd C10 shortie. I have been searching but seem to be striking out on some key questions, and/or the build threads in the FAQ are outdated and one would think there are more swappers out there now.
I'm doing a 4.8 / 4L60E.


1) Will TBSS manifolds fit with Dirty Dingo Double D plates? I'd like to steer away from Doug Thorleys on this one (only because I am trying to keep to a budget)

2) Heard the stock truck pan sits too low. This will be a lowered truck. Is a f-body pan the best and cheapest solution?

3) Will the tranny clear my hump?

I'm unfamiliar with the exact dimensions of 1964 C10, but I have done several 67-72 c10 and the frames seems to be similar/identical. I have used the TBSS manifolds and depending on where the engine is mounted, you may have to notch the frame, slightly on the passenger side, if I remember correctly. I have never used those slider mounts. I like my engine to sit in the stock 350 position, that's why I haven't used sliders. These swaps are easy, basically anything will work if you can mount a SBC 350, the oil pan will be fine unless you plan to bag it and lay fray frame. The tranny will be fine also, to clear the stock tunnel. Don't over think it until you get to the wiring. The electrical is the fun part, lol. Good Luck.

I did a '62 C10 5.3 4L60E swap a couple years ago.
-The TBSS manifolds cleared the frame rails on my '62 frame, and from what I've read the '62 is one of the narrower ones.
-I had a 1978 front end with dropped spindles and used the stock truck oil pan.
-My tranny cleared the hump on my '62.

Not sure about the TBSS manifolds clearing the DirtyDingo mounts, but if you want to try a set, let me know, I have a set in the basement. The F body oil pan may put the engine too far back due to the long sump part of the pan. The GM muscle car pan is cheap, and on my swaps they end up about level with the crossmember. Trans should clear no problem.

I'm doing a 5.3L/4L60E swap into a '63. I used a set of stock Camaro manifolds, so I can't answer #1.

The stock oil pan worked fine, sit's maybe 1" lower than the front cross-member.

The transmission has plenty of clearance, but I also have a high hump transmission tunnel.
