Newer center console/jumpseat in K5
Thought I would share my addition to my 1991 Scottsdale. I bought a 2014 Silverado center console off eBay. It has the storage under the seat as well as the top. The 2015 and newer don’t have the brackets to install under the buckets. The rear holes lined up and I re welded the front tabs to match the seats. The seat sits an inch plus lower then the buckets but it’s very comfortable for my arm when folded down. As a bonus it has rear cup holders.
My 1991 blazer is now a 6 seater. |

That looks real sharp. Love the cup holders.

That's sweet. the one thing that is bothering me more then anything with my new 91 Jimmy is the lack of an arm rest on the inside. this would fix that in a jiffy. So 2015 and newer would not work you said?
Holly Cow, they wanting $750 for one on e bay now. |

Now that's cool.
I have a plain '91 SLX Jimmy so that would perfect for putting the shrimp up front. She likes to see where we are going. Recover to match the rest and it would look like a factory deal. And nice looking Scottsdale from what I can see. Rare to see 4spd in '91. I'll never get another full load Blazer/Jimmy. Zook, try car-part.com Better prices than ePay. |

Re: Newer center console/jumpseat in K5
Got mine from a junk yard, 150 + 40 shipping. it was the wrong color and was dirty as chit. So I took it all apart, cleaned and died it.
The mounts went straight down and did not have the feet like yours did. So for me, and the fact that one seat belt was cut off, I'm never going to use it as a jump seat only for storage, drinks and arm rest. I was able to use the original angle bracket in the back and bolt it directly to the new ones frame. then it was the trick of bolting it back in. self tapping bolts in the front and I'm good to go.. even got the 12v power ran to it. |

Re: Newer center console/jumpseat in K5
2015 and newer don’t have the feet that go under the bucket seats. I’m not sure how they mount. I paid $395 plus shipping. It came from a modification shop versus a wrecking yard. It was the nicest one I could find.
It’s more like a 3 speed. The only time I would use low is if I was loading hay by myself in a field and wanted it to drive by itself. So basically I will never use it. I also just ordered a 1.5 din radio from mikes in Henderson. I bought this blazer on eBay last spring. 140,000 miles and was owned by a grandpa and it shows. Irish, funny how you said you will never get a loaded one again. I just bought the two tone Silverado blue blazer at GR auto in Michigan. It has 67,000 miles and from the pictures it’s as nice as I have ever seen. |

Re: Newer center console/jumpseat in K5
This is why I won't do nice/loaded truck again...130k orig SoCal miles
Made me OCD. 4 days in desert meant 2 days of cleaning. Then something would break or stop working. Then something else would stop working. So over it. I used nothing but NOS parts on the interior and only GM parts when ever something needed fixing. It wasn't a show truck or anything but it got out of hand and it stopped being fun.
