55-59 TCI under cab brake booster
Looking to see if any of you have installed this unit on your trucks and if you had an alignment issue with the original hole in the firewall for the pedal. Mine is roughly an inch and a half off center to the outboard side of the hole.

I bought mine off ebay, did not say TCI brand, but fits perfectly.

Re: 55-59 TCI under cab brake booster
I had a problem like yours, but not 1 1/2 only a half . I ended up leaving the adapter piece off that goes to pedal . Used a large washer for shim to center arm hole . Then used the original hole in the arm, and made connection, Works great ! Also shimmed ,with washers behind the mount plate

Thanks for the reply. Not sure why it is so far away from center. I could work with half inch but inch and a half means completely rebuilding the arm. Checked cab being squared up to frame.

Re: 55-59 TCI under cab brake booster
You could make a spacer and mount the unit to the spacer .
Some nice thick round stock and a plate and stiffener arm from the inside bolt on the boaster to the frame. this will make it stay ridged while applying the brakes. |
