Look what happened to my parking brake strut bar.
I guess it came off somehow or not done correctly. Found out my back brakes were doing nothing. So I started to replace the cylinders and found this just hanging from one end. Where can I find this?? Can't find the same one. Thanks.

Bend it back and reuse it. No harm in that.

Re: Look what happened to my parking brake strut bar.
My guess is that it was installed backwards, which caused that ground down spot. I just did my rear brakes, you are working on a Dana 60 correct? That bar isn’t bent, those tabs at the end are supposed to be curled like that.

Re: Look what happened to my parking brake strut bar.
The exact same thing happened to me. The strut bent in the middle and rubbed on the housing. I dont think it was installed incorectly as this style is left and right specific. You cant just flip them like the generic strut that was posted in the lmc link. I foung a replace ment off of a square body 3/4 ton in the junk yard. Also those generic type replacements and a different length than the originals.

Re: Look what happened to my parking brake strut bar.
Here is the thread i started when i noticed my parking strut was bent. The bent strut was on the driverside rear, the other pic was passenger side rear.
