1966 Stepside Fenders

Hey yall,
whats everyone's on stepside fenders? I think i am going to go buy a Mar-K bed kit, since im near OKC and can save on shipping. But if you dont know, Mar-k doesnt do the fenders. Repop fenders are about 350-400 bucks for each side, which is expensive.

So are the repop fenders worth the price fitment wise? Or should i hope i can find a decent pair of fenders and fix them?

Re: 1966 Stepside Fenders

I would look for good stock fenders and then last resort buy new. Fenders at eout there but also factor in the time and cost of used fender repair etc.

I'm not sure what you plan to use truck as but if its strictly a street machine I'd maybe look into fiberglass, they arent much cheaper but the ones I saw looked pretty nice and no worry of rust.

Off top of my head I think they were up22 as I remember looking them up after seeing them on a truck at car show, their website shows them at $300 each.

Re: 1966 Stepside Fenders

Keep in mind that the 66 stepside fenders have provisions for backup lights.
I don't think any aftermarket stuff has that.

Re: 1966 Stepside Fenders

I personally think 3" is a bit too much.

Re: 1966 Stepside Fenders

fiberglass are prone to get rock hits from the underside that show through the outside. some are thick and you won't have this problem. Spray the wheel well with bed liner should work also.
