Hello Everyone!
I just purchased an all original 1954 Chev 3100 5 window truck that I plan on keeping all original. This truck starts, runs and drives good. All gauges work. Very little rust. Inside cab floors have no rust - amazing! Needs some cleaning and mechanical check outs, but all in all I'm very happy to find a running all original truck in this good of shape! This is my second 1954 truck, as the first one I replaced the entire drive train with a modern V8 and changed out the front suspension for disc brakes and power steering. I regretted taking it out of it's all original condition. |

Sorry I'm late to welcome you. We'll have to have an Oregon AD gathering this summer.

That would be nice! It would be good to meet others in the Beaverton area to share build information, tips and tricks. I just completed replacing the entire braking system and axle oil seals. New rims and tires soon. Now working through wiring woes. I'll be tearing out all the wiring and starting over. I'll really enjoy wiring the truck. Will also clean / paint inside of cab, re-install dash trim and new glove box. I could use assistance tackling door weather stripping, new door glass felt channel install, wing window replacement, door adjustments. My previous 1954 drivers side door wouldn't stay closed - so I rigged latch to hold it shut - was tired of the door flying open on turns. I'd also like to install a spot light. |
