What years are these door seal trim used in?
I have different trim, I am thinking the chrome one is later, probably came with my 53 cab I had. While the new ones I bought years ago were for the early cab, what do you think? This is the piece that goes on the floor next to the seat at the sill.

I have a 50 and the chrome looking one is like what is on mine. It goes on the floor next to seat. There was a change over at 50 to the smaller one.
48/9 used the bigger one.

Re: What years are these door seal trim used in?
The ones I have seen available new are like the chrome one in your photo. I bought those but they didn't work. Once I installed sound deadener, carpet pad and carpet they were too short, so I had to make my own.
I think these were designed to hold down the rubber flooring or a single layer of carpet, they can also hold a seal that I haven't ever seen anyone use. You can see the exploded view of parts 21-24 here. Sorry I know you didn't ask about the seal, but I thought it might be useful information.

I have the seal that came with them. You see, this is why I am doing an inventory of my parts, I don't even know what I have!

Long term projects get that way. you find stuff that you forgot you ever bought. Then you find the double of it that you bought because you forgot you had the first one.

Brian,
instead of wasting time doing inventory, why not just buy everything you need and get after fixing the truck. then, when it comes in and you have opened the package and installed it, you will find the one you stored for all these years. the one you stored will also be a better fitting part and stronger too. thats what works for me, lol. store it because I might need it. forget where it is or simply can't find it. buy new. be upset because it fits bad. then find the other part shortly after in a box with something totally unrelated. grrrr. |

Then sell the found new one for half the price you paid because that is how it works LOL
