You have to cut the recess out of the Jag donor car. Few and far between right around where I live.

It's a good looking unit if it blends in with the rest of the build on your truck.

That's a cap from an XJ6 - any year up to 1887.

There's quite a few of them in the self-serve junkyards around here in Phoenix.

Check row52.com to check inventory where you are.

There's usually a few on ebay too.

I like the lines on the Jag better. For me, it seems to flow with the curves of the fender. I found mine locally for $25 but there are several on EBay as e015475 stated. Also like the fact that they're lockable. Although mine didn't have a key, the lock cylinder can easily be rekeyed.

There's a guy in the Carolina's named David Bogner that parts out Jags and would likely have a good selection of fuel caps. He often buys whole cars to part and I'd imagine he'd have gas caps with keys. I've talked to him a few times and always found him very helpful.

If there is a number on the lock you can probably order a key from Jag, or maybe a vin number.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
