'72 K2500 Rear Brake Shoe Q?
I'm getting parts together to get into the rear brakes on the '72 K2500. Been quite a while, but I'd swear it had 12" brakes or at least 12.125 max dia is on the drum, IIRC. I remember going around with it last time. Got wrong shoes first time, tore down, took old in to match up. I am asking because I'm looking online at NAPA and what they list are 11 5/32 x 2 3/4". Does that sound right? Anyone else have one who could tell me?

The 11-5/32" drums are heavy duty, which I only learned here, recently. Never seen them in the wild. Mine are 11", but it is 2WD.

Re: '72 K2500 Rear Brake Shoe Q?
I went through the same thing with mine shortly after I bought it. Pulled the drum to see what I had. I found a 12 x 2.5 All the online parts sellers listed something different. For giggles I looked at C2500s. lo and behold those shoes were what I needed. Wheel cylinders were listed as the same part number for c2500 and K2500. So I went with all parts for the C2500. Exact match to what I had.

The question has come up before and I can't recall any specifics. Next time my drums are off (not for several years, I hope!), I'm gonna measure the damn shoes and write it down. If I remember to!

Re: '72 K2500 Rear Brake Shoe Q?
I was ready to order, but will wait till I tear into it so I can carry a pair of shoes in. I believe the problem here is they list the K/20 HO52 shoes for the K2500 Dana60. The C/20 w/leaf spring wheel cylinders are the same as K/20
