Back seats?

Never owned a Blazer but Ive started checking out this area lately. So much good info here that pertains to all of our trucks.

I keep reading about the back seat scores. Are these that hard to come by? Is the short seat in a Burb the same seat as the Blazer? If so are the mounting brackets the same?

Re: Back seats?

The back seat in a K5 is the same as the third row in a Suburban.

It is also the same(minus brackets) as the shorty bench in the Suburban as well.

The "score" is the brackets. Far fewer 3rd row/K5 rear seats are available today, and if you do find them, expect to pay, even if they are beat up.

Re: Back seats?

Just bought one and T... is correct. I have a K5 and bought third row from Burb with brackets that work for K5. Keep in mind the rear brackets are simple, same bracket, just need a hole drilled and a square nut welded to make it "correct". You can do this yourself and it's fine. Make sure you get the correct front bracket. Either way they are still not cheap but you can get them.

Re: Back seats?

I had a Burb project I had been gathering parts for and it recently sold (sometimes when the opportunity presents itself selling is a good idea lol) Anyway I believe I have several seats squirreled away and one or two might be those rear seats. Ill have to take a look this weekend. My truck funds are way down and if I have something I can sell to help build em up that would be nice.

If you have spare brackets (set of 2 - those for the ends) for rear of rear seat I'd be interested. Thanks.

Matt Im way out there on being ready to get rid of any of the misc leftover Burb stuff. I still have my panel, I had zero luck trying to sell it ... So I may need seats for that.

Re: Back seats?

Just picked up my 72 K5 and it’s got a factory rear seat. Just bought 3rd row Escalade seats for my 7 yr old son. Gonna hang on to that rear seat like gold!! I do need to find me some factory fronts though. I have the hardware just need the seats.
