If I remember correctly, Gm would build the truck less box, have it shipped to who made the work box's they would assemble at their plant and ship back to Gm finished.
They are a cool truck, don't see many especially modded. Mudman.

There's another member here with a blue 67 GMC with the same utility bed. They are basically stepside beds without the steps and fenders, I'm sure you figured that out already.
Does your truck have the V6? |
