will 15's fit Corp 14BFF

I have a '75 Corp 14BFF with them big 'ol drums on 'em and I have been looking around at wheels and tires. Do I need to run a bigger rim than 15" or will that fit with 4.5" backspace?

I believe the 8 lug 15" rims will fit.

1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

yes they fit...i have the 15" 8 luggers on a 14ff....they hafta be steel rims though....you can get them new for usually 40-60 buks a piece dependin where ya go...and what style u get...they clear the disk brakes as well on the 14ff....youll hafta grind your calipers on the front big time with that much backspace though....i would go more like 3.5 or so...

they should be alright, I still have the factory splits on my truck, and they clear the dana 60 drums just fine (I know, I know, I'm gonna get some plain steelies as soon as I have some dough, so no one dies putting new tires on them).

I run 15in aluminum slots on my Blazer..
dana 60 up front with a little love with the grinder on the calipers..
and a 14bff with Blackbird's Custom Trucks rear disc brake kit.. No grinding on those.. the rims are 8 1/2in wide..

I don't know if this what the other guys will answer..
But I can tell you with my aluminum. I had to grind alot on the front calipers.plus i still don't have weights on because my rims don't have a lip to them..
So i would have to use sticky weights on the inside..But they come off as soon as the wheel turns and they hit the caliper..
I don't have alot of room between the rim and caliper, But with a set of steel white spoke 15's I tried There is alot more room..
But I like my slots to much to change.

the steel rims are not as thick as the alum rims, so on the inside a alum rim will be a smaller diameter the the steel ones...
I run a 8 to 6 lug spacer on my 14ff and have 15" alum rims on a fours...

your right, no 8 lug 15"inch rim...
I run these spacers and was able to keep my 6 lug alum rims on my 14FF....

16.5" rims dont have as much of a lip to retain the bead as a 15 or 16" rim, so be prepared to blow your beads off, ALOT. as for more, larger sizes for a 16.5" over a 15", open any catalog that sells REAL tires, and you'll see you're dead wrong. and the 15" tires are generally cheaper too.

ChevyGuyBC, do you have anything to say that isn't derogatory or childish? I don't think you do. You have already proven (to me, at least) that even though you have a 4x4 you know very little about them....and you do what you know best...which is shooting your mouth off. Please refrain from speaking unless you can give a helpful answer.

Daughters boyfriend has a set of Weld Typhones that ate 15x12(or 10) and 8 lug. They work but he is getting some kind of rubbing noise in the front so I guess it to be the caliper rubbing on one side. I ran 20-25 lbs of air in my Super Swamper and I never blew a bead when I was mudding. I think airing down and doing rocks would be a problem.

You can blow beads on 15" rims pretty easy if their too wide for the tire too. I have some 15x10's on my truck with 31x10.5" tires and blew 2 beads in one day while running 25 psi. I'll be switching to 15x8's with 12.5" wide tires.

Well I just have to pipe of on here also Seeing I help run a business website that deals in 2 and 4 wheel drive parts.(check the Sig below)
Here we go.
1. They do make 8 lug 15" wheels I have have both aluminum slotted and Steel white spoke. Most of the rims you would have to massage the front caliper to fit right. And if you treated yourself and bought a rear disc brake kit for the 14ff you would have to massage the calipers on that also.There used to be alot more tire slection for the 15" wheel. But in the last 3-4 years They are coming almost dead even as to what fits 15's 16's and even bigger

2. Prices of tires depends on where you buy them and what kind of discount you can get. For example: I can get 36 12.50 tsl SX's for 172.00 each shipped to my door. Now looking in Petersons and four wheeler you can get the same tire for around 197.00. Theres a couple of Mags ChevyGuyBC to check out before you pipe off on here. The People on this board ask questions for help, not uneducated answers.
All depends where you get your tires

3.As for blowing beads, our mud racer holds 5psi with no beadlocks, and thrashes hard at 3.8 seconds through hellashish 200 foot pits jumping and bouncing all around.
I run 10-15psi on 36 tsl sx's when offroad and mud racing and never blew a bead. It just depends on what your doing with it and what type of tire you get.

Well the aluminum slots are on my blazer right now and aren't for sale. I would keep checking on here or put a post in the parts board, local junk yards, Ebay,and online classifieds
I got them at the Portland Oregon swap meet a couple years back for the price of 200.00 for all four.

I will say 15 in are hard to come by.
this set came off a Chevy 2 wheel 3/4, atleast thats what I was told. never checked into seeing how I believe all 8 lugs are the same unless you get special axles like Mogs or hummer..
And they work great..
they are 8 1/2 in wide, not sure of the offset.
I run 36x 12.50 tsl sx swampers on them bolted to a D60 upfront and 14ff out back.

Like stated before running these on 3/4 or 1ton you will have to massage the brake calipers..And probably won't have weights on them unless you get real lucky and find a set with a lip, which I have seen.

I'm not the best but have been wheeling since my first chevy in high school. Plus help run a Business site that deals with 4x4 related products.

There is some place that still makes them, But I haven't found the site again, plus I met a wheel dealer in Idaho at a swapmeet at the kootnei county fairgrounds..

Just to reinforce what's already been posted (and toss in my .02) -

Back in the late '70s I got a set of 15x8 white steel spokes with TruTracs (remember those?) to replace my 16" split rims. Required some minor front caliper grinding. I can't recall the brand, but I bought them from Dick Cepek.

As stated, they are safety rims - that is, a small lip helps the bead to stay sealed at lower pressures - and 16.5 rims are not, and may pop a bead more easily at low pressure, especially if you bump a rock or a stob.
