1972 Blazer missing top and 1 door
I've stumbled across a '72 Blazer 4x4 that's missing the top and 1 door. I'm waiting to hear back from the owner, but wanted to get the opinion of others on WIW. Rust in the usual places not as bad as I've seen before, the only photos I have can be viewed in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=775328
Here's what else I know; factory air (all components there, but not charged), 350 (it will start and run), automatic (slips really bad), buckets, console, rear seat (all pretty rough). The hood has been replaced with what I think is an aftermarket "cowl" hood. Besides the rockers, there are a few rust holes in the bed near the perimeter of the wheel wells. Hope to know more soon, and I know it's difficult without more photos, but what do you think? |

Re: 1972 Blazer missing top and 1 door
Very hard to tell with the limited photos. Look carefully at the windshield frame. Rearmost cross frame member often rusted through on its top because tires throw stuff up there which then rots it and the box floor on both sides. Look closely at the lower cowl and the A pillar dog leg. Everything can be fixed but it can get expensive and there is nearly always more rust than you can see. If the soft top is good, its better than a hard top in my opinion.

Price is $4500. Assuming rust is only in the outer/inner rockers, what do you think?
