Cab differences?
Just curious of the differences between cabs of different years. One truck I have is supposed to be '68. Has the pegs on the floor for the gas pedal, the door jambs do not have a "bump" for a courtesy light switch. My '70 doesn't have the pegs on the floor but does have the courtesy light bump. I believe '72's have a different cab top because the mirror glues to the window. What are some other ways to tell the difference by looking?

67 may have small window
67/68 has no light hump in door jamb, and has parking brake holse for hand brake and not foot brake. Nubs on floor for gas pedal. 69/70 Hump in door jamb, foot parking brake, nubs on floor for throttle, no vent in drivers door jamb by VIN plate. *Up untill 70, there may or may not be mirror holes...it was an option untill 70* 71 has vent in door jamb by VIN plate and has a raised pad for mirror. No nubs for throttle pedal 72 same but with no raised portion for mirror. There are more, but nothing off the top of my head. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 11-20-2003 at 02:37 AM. |
