Found a GMC Desert Fox Jimmy at the junk yard

For a long time I've been looking for a hickey enterprise grill guard. Much to my surprise on Christmas eve I found a desert fox at the pic and pull with the grill guard. Sad to see this desert fox in the junk yard given how rare it is. I also pulled the hickey folding side steps that attach to the rockers and floor support. Given how rare this is shouldn't it be restored? I also took a photo of the vin but could not find the glove box with RPO details.

Love the look of these.

Not a 4x4 Guy, but would have one of these.

I think there is enough for a restorer to work off though.

I so wish we had as much parts over here for resto etc.

From what I've seen second-hand of junkyards reducing Blazer Chalets and Jimmy Casa Grandes to nothing when they might have been worth more intact, and from my own personal experience scrounging parts for my daily driver VW, I get the impression that junkyard owners know there is money to be made from individual parts and how much crushed scrap steel goes for, but I'm wondering if many of those folks and/or their employees are not actually car guys who'd otherwise know what rare collector vehicles are or what particularly desirable special option items are.

Do you think they still have it there? What’s the junkyard called?
