Press in, or bolt in Lower Ball Joints??
I am about to buy one of those polygraphite front end kits for my truck, good excuse to take a week off of work! But anyway, I see that there are 2 options for lower ball joints, press in and bolt in. Its been a while since I've been under my truck to look, but I'm pretty sure the original LBJ's are press in, so does that mean I have to buy press in replacements? Or can I buy the bolt in replacements? I know how to do the work, just don't know which ones to get Thanks.

Never heard of a bolt in lower Ball joint but this is not too say there isnt a such thing for our trucks. If you have press in type then i would go back with them.

More than likely press in. Go to Autozone, They have the press there. You buy it and take it back for return when finished. Kind of a borrowing deal.

Yeah I got off my lazy butt and checked they are press in. The only reason I asked was because the company I'm ordering the front end rebuild kits has an option for bolt in and press in LBJ's, and it confused the hell outta me cause I had never heard of the bolt in variety. Carparts.com has options for bolt in too.
