Frame color

I am having my chassis work finalized and am close to painting the frame.

Black or the hammer tone?

I didn't think I would like the hammer, but it's growing on me.

Re: Frame color

Not that anyone's opinion matters, but I like the black!

Re: Frame color

Hammertone is nice on accent pieces but I don't know if I'd want the whole frame done with it.

I like black myself unless the truck is a full tilt mod rod then a contrasting color as long as it isn't that pink I saw on a chassis on one of the Ford trucks sold on the Barrett Jackson auction yesterday. That little ditty probably cost the seller 10K or more on the sale price.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Frame color

I agree on the pink. That was crazy.

I was considering the hammered because the exterior color is going to be BMW Space Gray or a Charcoal color. If my paint and body guy gets off his axx.

My truck is quite modded, C4 suspension, 6.0 LS with LS6 intake. Far from the stock 55.2.

I am going for high level finishes.

Re: Frame color

The untrained eye might think the "hammered" was just a bad black paint job.

Re: Frame color

If you're wanting people to be able to see some of the high level work details underneath the lighter color may bring it out more than the black. But being underneath and mostly hidden most of the chassis will be hard to see - especially if you are going to be riding low.
