71 super pics for joe L
Here are a few of it finished. I ended up stripping whole truck, had frame and all components powder coated and repainted the truck the correct light red. It won its class at super Chevy and was chosen as the feature truck for lmc show pick which involved it getting some air time on tv show. I removed all the aluminum dress up stuff and restored the engine back to stock, including factory single exhaust and y pipe. The little truck turned out really nice, even after one painter flaked on me and kept it for three years.

Thank you for the kind words. I purchased the truck several years ago from Joe L and he had asked it it had ever been completed. It is hard to to describe this truck as it turned out even better than I thought it was going to when I bought the unfinished project. Of course there were hang ups and delays but , when I took it to its first show and had a gentleman in his late 70s just stand and stare with tears in his eyes talking about how it was exactly like a truck many years ago and how it looked like his did when he rolled it of the lot new, I figured I had gotten it pretty close to 1971. That is the coolest part of this hobby in my opinion.

Nice!! Love the stock build. Restored mine 100% stock, then changed suspension/wheels because we hit the road a lot.
