63 vacuum advance ID

I just got this vacuum advance for my 62’ 235.

Can anyone explain to me how to install it? Also what is that indicatior for that says 10-10 & A|R

Pull the distributor out remove the old 1 and put the new 1 on the way you took the old 1 off

Does this help? Looks like your missing the clamp that goes around the distributor shaft(second pic).

Looks like the repo is missing parts. Maybe you can move some of the parts over from the old one .

Yes I’m missing that stud that is pressed or welded on the vacuum.

So what I did was dropped a cutter pin and twisted around the edge so that it sat in there tight. So that when the vacuum advances the distributor, it’ll get a full and accurate pull/advance.


What does A-R / 10-10 mean though? And what do I do with that?
