CL find, looks like he got in over his head. Anybody want to finish it?
Not sure whats up with this one. He has the cab on an s10 frame, but also has corvette suspension parts? I guess he couldn't figure out what direction he was going to go and gave up.

I once did much the same thing: bought a '49 AD pickup, S10 chassis, SBC, and several thousand dollars in parts. My heart wasn't in it, so it was easier to just accumulate parts than actually do the hard work of building the truck. I sold the whole thing for several thousand $$$ less than I had into it.

It not only is a basket case, it is a basket case with a ton of new sheet metal that you'll have to figure out how to make fit. Most of the "new" stuff is just that "new stuff" and doesn't fit like the old stuff. Also, he is probably missing every bracket, fastener, mount, etc. because he "was just buying new anyway". He's going to lose his a$$ on this one. It is just a matter of calculating that loss.

It looks like he couldn't decide which way he wanted to go, Nice stock frame with Corvette Suspension or with the S-10 frame that may have been under it when he got it.
Use one, sell the other and build a truck. I'd sell the S-10 chassis to the first guy who offered cash and put that money in the kitty for the kit to put the Corvette suspension on the stock frame. Worth a lot more with the stock frame and Vette suspension and no inspection hassles because of a frame swap. That might be a deal for someone living in New York who is looking for a truck to build.

Re: CL find, looks like he got in over his head. Anybody want to finish it?
buying parts is usually as addictive as gambling, the research and then clicking the "buy" button releases dopamine. A pile of parts doesnt run and drive though. My advice is always do the first thing that needs done, if its putting the motor in then do that. doing the "next" thing (anything can be the next thing compared to what NEEDS done), like buying new rubber pads for the pedals, can probably wait.
miracle is probably right, building is no where near as fast or exciting as buying.
