1971 - best OEM style full tie rod assembly?
Just getting everyone's take before I go up to O'Reilly's or somewhere and start laying down money...
We want to replace the tie rods (all 3 parts), and the pitman arms. What are the best/most reliable OEM-style, put-it-in-and-go ones to get. ...Also, I know the tie rods changed every couple years, so I don't want to grab the wrong part because the counter guy is a pimply 12-year-old and knows nothing (or less than me, anyway. I know, at least, next-to-nothing. ![]() Moog seems popular, but it appears to be a bit different than the originals? Thoughts? Suggestions? |

I'm assuming it was something like the "MOOG ES415RL" part number on this page?

Side note... on a whim, I called LMC just now, to see what brand theirs are.
The brand is 3D Carbon. And I don't know anything about that company, but they did say "made in US," if that matters to anyone. ...Something tells me that's just a detail about manufacture.. Not a brand. Oh well, I tried. |

Look it up on RockAuto. Going to depend if you are 10/20, and C/K
Agree to do it all at once. If you decide to use AC Delco, be aware they have 2 product lines now. Advantage and Professional. Advantage is cheap chinese junk. Professional is the real AC Delco parts.

moog has two lines as well, if it doesnt have problem solver stamped on it, its their cheaper line.
