Grill
Hello, how do I remove the outer grill shell? The rivets look to be the only hold up. And how will I install a new outer shell when the time comes? Any tips and advice are greatly appreciated due to it being my first restoration. Thank you

Re: Grill
The rivets attach it to bracket that bolts to the fender. Open the hood and look down next to the headlights.

Re: Grill
If you have a 1971 or a 1972 grill shell you have 2 options you can use the factory alum shell or they make a steel triple plated chrome grill or a Painted Grill shell I like the Chrome one cus it just look so much better then the Plain old alum silver color.
One thing on the Chrome grill best off to Paint the back side of the grill Keeps it from rusting for a long time over time it will flake off. If you don't the rust will bleed throw your crome top coat and make it start to peel and flake. Here is my 1972 with the chrome grill |
