revisiting dyeing interiors
So I read in herehttp://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=662575&page=4 and ive actually done some panels that have begun flaking about a year or so later with the SEM stuff and although I have to do that truck over my other project is in need of interior work too and someone already redyed the interior from blue to red. My question is being the dye is flaking some in the corners, whats the best way to prep this and how did you remove other dye had your older panels been dyed previously

Re: revisiting dyeing interiors
I’m actually working on some interior parts right now for someone. They were originally blue, and I’m dyeing them Carmine Red.
You can use lacquer thinner to take the old dye off. I then do some light sanding. Clean them with SEM Soap and rinse well. Next up is the adhesive promoter, then start laying down the dye. These are what I got done so far today. They are to match the seat I did for him earlier.
