Door fitment
Howdy! I recently ordered some doors from KeyParts. I found that the doors were not similar in dimensions. The drivers side door had a 2 3/8 inch gap between the bolt and the flange. The passenger side had a 2 1/2 gap between the bolt and the flange. This effected the hinge placement, and the door alignment. Has anyone else had this problem? Where could I buy some quality repop doors that won't cause a headache?

Sounds like the same ol repop song and dance....
That's why everyone says use OEM whenever possible...

You have more than that much adjustment in your hinges, you may not find any that are any better, your going to adjust them to fit your openings any way

I originally bought repop for both doors, but ended up going to the local Classic pick a part to get OEM doors, as the fit on the repop are all over the map. My repop pass door fit good, but even it had a gap (where you place the felt and rubber wiper strips) that was 1/4" larger than expected for the door glass. The drivers side repop door was soo bad that I ended up scrapping it.....Repop = many hours of fabrication work.

I assembled my truck together from all original GM sheet metal and to get the gaps tight like I wanted I still had to open up the holes in the hinges to put the doors where I wanted.
There was some adjustment but still not enough. Like I said it was all GM parts. If you have to use aftermarket you have to just assume you will have to alter/adjust in places where you normally would not have to. Good luck.

Found a great place in Cameron Tx. Has tons of OEM parts! around 10-50 selections for almost any C10 part or piece. Found a great set of OEM doors that are practically flawless besides mirror holes.

I just purchased a new door from Classic Parts. The door fits pretty well, but when I installed my new cab corners I matched them to the OEM door I thought I was going to use. Now I have a bigger gap at the bottom of the door than I would prefer. I continue to adjust and I am getting close, but not sure I like the width of the gap. In fairness, the OEM door fit just as poorly when I started with it.
But, when I picked up my door from Classic they told me that if I didn't like the fit to bring it back and we would try another. I'm close to them so that is an option. Shipping would kill you I would guess.

You could weld a wire to the edge and then taper it for a nice even gap.

Right here in paint and body work look back through the thread’s I believe it was called fitment of aftermarket parts I did the same thing to my truck but do not have pictures but basically you take 1/8 welding wire and tack weld it to the edge of the door and when you’re done you file it down until you have the gap you want on my original doors there were some areas it took two wires where I put the new skins on actually fit a little better
