American Autowire . 100% best in the business. The people in the actual making of the harnesses are true car/truck people. One is a judge in many of the bigger clubs. Ive sent them many NOS wire harnesses to get them exact plus they have all the Packard and GM GMC schematics for building them

Truck is completely rewired from AAW, every factory clip was exactly where it was supposed to be.

Re: Stock reproduction engine wiring harness?

I used the factory style AAW harnesses from Classic Parts. Everything fit perfect and had all of the correct plugs, clips, etc. They sell different versions for stock, HEI, whatever you prefer. Not cheap, but totally worth it.

Re: Stock reproduction engine wiring harness?

Thanks for all the replies! Is Classic parts the only one selling the AAW harness?

I just looked at CP site and this is what they had for 64-66 V8 with gauges. Is this the AAW harness you all are running?

https://www.classicparts.com/1964-66...info/52%2D130/

I dont remember my 65 having plastic corrugated wire protector or crimp connectors.

Is there is a source for new plug and terminals?

Anyone have a pic of factory original harness?

Re: Stock reproduction engine wiring harness?

It looks like they carry an "OE" series that appears to be more like the factory harness (without the plastic split loom). I think this is what you are looking for:

https://www.classicparts.com/1964-66...fo/52%2D130B/#

I used the HEI version of this "OE" harness on my '66.

I don't know if this particular harness uses crimp connectors, and can't remember what mine has on it. If that's an issue for you, call em up and ask (either AAW or CP). Keep in mind that unless you solder and heat shrink a harness from scratch, pretty much any way you go will likely use crimp connectors.

No idea who else sells AAW; Classic Parts is local to me so I didn't look much further. AAW is a big company, and I'm sure there's other vendors online if you prefer.

Order from Matt’s Bow ties, they are a sponsor and I believe in Cali. Maybe he can get you a good price.
