Power Steering Pump fitment probs on LM7 5.3 K10 swap

I'm in the process of swapping a 5.3L LM7 into my 1970 K10. I was planning to use the stock 5.3 PS pump and stock PS/Alt accessory bracket. I'm having a problem with fitment of the PS pump. The low pressure line hits on the frame. Anyone else have interference problems with the PS pump? I don't really want to try to bend that line in fear of damage. I'm wondering if there is a different style pump that would work with the stock accessory bracket. Any help would be appreciated.

I just carefully bent mine, but my engine may be in a different position than yours, so it may not have been as close.

So I tried to bend it a bit. I can't really go any more. As it is my line will be coming out right behind the PS pulley.

I bent this line and only have about 1/8" clearance from frame. When engine is running it will probably still hit.

The line is now directly behind where pulley will go.

Hey Dan, I messaged mine to make a tighter curve off the pump. I have about a good inch clearance from the frame. My motor is pretty solid and I don't think it will ever move enough to hit. I also rotated the curve to point more to the fender to avoid the pully. I will try and get a picture but may be this weekend before I get it.

Thanks for the information. I look forward to seeing pictures when you have a chance.

Dave, I thought about doing this. I may still try. I really like the idea of having the line between the frame anyway. I'll let you know if I try it.

I decided to bend the PS pump line down so it would fit between the frame rails. Should be good now.

Sorry dan I have been working and haven’t got a chance to get to my shop for a pitcture.
Looks that in the rail looks fine. My motor might sit higher then yours since my line is above the rail.
