Calling all 1968 507 light blue owners!!
I have a 1968 Chevy C-10. It’s original column was ditched years ago by my dad when I was a kid. He tossed it and original wheel wheel he converted from 3OTT to automatic. Now I’m trying to find the original color of steering wheel. The door panels and dash pad are similar in color. Visors appear to be 1968 bright blue. I’m not sure what color steering wheel and column where. The darker blue or bright blue. Any help?? Thanks!!

Here's a picture of my 68 GMC, I would think it's the same color as a Chevy would have been.

Re: Calling all 1968 507 light blue owners!!
Pretty sure it would be like MDpotters. In my experiences I've only come across 67-68 wheels that were painted in the blue metallic poly with the column painted to match. Would be interesting if anyone else has seen them in a different paint color originally. Here is a before and after for a 68 truck that was 506 medium blue poly the outside. The wheel in the background of the before was painted dark blue later in it's life and looked out of place in the truck.

Nice. Curt what did you use to paint it. The interior color code for medium blue poly is 13391. Which is no longer available at least not in CA. Something about the original interior colors where a different type of paint that’s no longer available and paint codes don’t cross over like a body color would. I have a lead on correct color wheel and going to try and match paint for a tilt column. That’s why I’m trying to do some research

Thats a PPG dcc base clear. It was a little custom mixing on the fly but I'll get a paint code this week for you.

Okay Curt. Thanks! Did you restore that wheel as well?? Also in pictures that’s the bezel I was asking about to have painted. No cracks near screw mounting holes either
