Pictures of C10’s hot rodded in the 60’s and 70’s?
Are there any photos of 60’s C10’s that were rodded in the 60’s or 70’s? NOT 60’s C10’s with modern modifications but a C10 that a “working man” would have done to his truck back in the day. Trying to get some ideas for my ‘63.

Wish I had some pics but when I was a young kid (like 10 and already a sucker for a cool car or truck ) some of the guys had early to mid 60's C10s with black wheels , baby moons and skinny whitewalls. I always liked that look. Also the C20's and other make trucks set up for campers with big fat 16,16.5s and bigger.

Suprising that nobody submitted pics, but a working man back in the day had limited funds just like today so a 60's to 70's hotrod pickup was likely an older truck for the times. I remember seeing lots of the 49-55 first series around even in the early 80's. Lowered suspension, custom wheels with dual exhausted small blocks were the norm. I kind of went that route with my '66. The outside looks stock. However, I did add a tilt/tele from a '70 Caddy, Muncie 4 speed, and low back bucket seats which I had redone to resemble the 60-66 mustang style. I kept my 283 for its nostalgia factor and souped it up some. It sounds good with dual exhaust and it's a kick with the Muncie 4 speed.

I’m trying to get some ideas for my long bed ‘63 C10. I like the idea of a straight body without great paint, original cab interior and new drivetrain.

Yeah, maybe a fat set of 15" Cragar S/S or Torque Thrust mags and some white letter T/A radials...some dual exhaust...Cal Custom valve covers....maybe some old license plate frames from a local long closed Chevy dealership in your locale...yep, have fun

Plain chrome wheels or with baby moons is very traditional 60's and 70's

Couple pics of my '62 back in the day. The B&W pic is from around 1975. My older cousins Dan and Ray owned it then.
The next two pics are from 1981-82. My brother painted it at the Vo-Tech.
