My new 67 Project.
Just picked this 67 C20. It was an original custom truck with a 327/400 Eaton no spin, power brakes and steering. Had buddy’s per spid.
It is a pretty solid truck but does have typical windshield leak rot. The cab nice enough to do a roof swap. Probably change color to 503. Stock wheels and caps or some nice 8 lug aftermarket. I have all yrs of these truck but this is my first 67.

Very cool. It's amazing what a little soap, water and scrubbing can do.

Good score! I agree 503 green. It was already Oregon Green when you bought it.

Re: My new 67 Project.
Just picked up this HO 72 for the project. It has a 4:10, non posi or no no spin
I recently purchased a real nice seat and a 454 carbed engine from an 85 pick up. I have a very good friend sending me some of the little goodies needed. Thank you CB. Ill post more up when time permits.

Re: My new 67 Project.
I have seen some of those wagon wheels (like yours, although not on a 3/4 ton...) painted gloss black, looked real good. I wonder how they'd look in argent silver. Of course you'd have to find some nice center caps...
Is the original engine and trans still in it??? That medium blue 67 color is awesome. I'm liking the original color of yours, also!!! |

327 is gone but 400 trans is in it. It currently has a 78 350. Soon to be a 454. The plan is to make it appear as a factory big block truck. It is going to wind up (503) green. I like the blue but I like the green better and it does need a repaint.

Re: My new 67 Project.
I DO like THOSE wheels!!! Are those aftermarket???
GM used to put aluminum wheels like that on 1/2 tons. My brothers 84 GMC had the aluminum wheels on it originally. I guess you know, you need the narrow the tops of the frame (where the engine sits), on a 67 for a big block exhaust to clear properly... |

Re: My new 67 Project.
Hey, I see your truck was optioned with the no slip option, if you're looking at switching over to the non no slip I'd be more than happy to buy the no slip rear section for my truck if it's a good gearing. Or a tru track unit if you have one. My truck is also getting a 454 and it's be nice to have more than just one tir e spinning at once. Just pm me if interested

Re: My new 67 Project.
Its been a while but wanted to up date the status on Herman.
Herman decided he liked red, so red it will be. I have some thoughts rattling around about red/burgandy two tone but not sure yet. May add side trim but not sure yet. Most of my effort has been on the bottom of the truck. Many hrs of scrubbing. Surprised by how clean it is under all the muck. This truck was nearly scrapped. Glad to save it.

Re: My new 67 Project.
Looks great. Any tips for cleaning under the truck? I have some wire wheels and pressure washer planned, but not sure which cleaner/degreaser to use.
