July 2020 ToTM
For our July 2020 Truck of the Month (ToTM) contest the theme is
Slab that Side Based on one of the old terms many of you may have not heard or used is slabside. Slabside is one of those terms, like flatside or fleetside, that was used to describe those trucks with the smooth or non-fendered style pickup. Here are the criteria for this month’s contest.
You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. In addition, we will need the owner’s board name and the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. Nominations will run through June 23. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up June 24 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of July 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of July 1. The announcement of the ToTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: July 2020 ToTM
Owned her for over 30 years. She runs and is driven all the time. Maybe the sweetest shop truck in 3 counties.

Re: July 2020 ToTM
I’ll go ahead and throw my truck in the running. It’s a 72 C10 SWB Texas truck with all original steel. It’s been a fun little project. Built 6.0/4L80e LS Swap.

Re: July 2020 ToTM
Thanks Special K and dsraven for nominating my 1959 GMC Wideside.
Canadian built truck with factory stainless bedside trim and many other factory options including radio and custom seat. Family owned since the early 1970's. I drove this truck to highschool in the late 70's.
