Brake switch for tail lights and TCC signal
What brake switch are you guys using for LS swaps to give both the regular tail light circuit and the opposite-type TCC signal for the PCM (what fits well)? Mine is a 72 model. I’ve seen several switches that can do this easily, but am wondering what fits our trucks well. I know this could be done with a simple relay, but would rather have a dedicated, factory style one. Thanks.

I use a 2002 Camaro V8 auto brake light switch. Has terminals for brake lights and TCC.

I use ACDELCO D802C {#89057754}
Rockauto and others...about $15... If you need the manual valve switch on the trans (NSS and reverse lights) its ACDELCO 24215111 about $30...

I think I understand it (tells the computer what gear you’re in and can do reverse lights?)..most pullouts have that attached right? Last edited by General23cmp; 08-16-2020 at 10:21 PM. |

Re: Brake switch for tail lights and TCC signal
ACDELCO 24215111 fits directly over the manual shaft on the side of the auto trans...I included the number just in case the one on your trans was faulty or non existent.
Most "pull outs" would include this on the trans.... Note...If the pullout originated in a non truck setup and you want to use a column located shift setup, you will need to change the manual shaft in the trans from the short version used on cars to the long shaft found on trucks...
