New music & video “Self Destructor” from on of my favorite bands Chevelle. Video opening features Pete’s 69/70 Chevrolet C10 truck. Truck can be seen multiple times in the video. Great band with a lead singer with great taste in trucks.

My seat belt retracting spring died and I slammed the door on the buckle once (maybe more) and that's what that door closing sounded like.

Truck is cool and the music beat is a little young for me, (not too bad) but I understood ZERO words the guy was screaming.

The band Chevelle formed in 1995. They’ve released 12 albums with one due out in March of 2021.

As I mentioned in an earlier reply, they are a hard rock band but there is some meaning behind their songs/lyrics and that’s why I like them. An older song of theirs “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)” 13 million views on YouTube is about America’s over prescription and abuse of the drug Ritalin. Typically used for attention deficit disorder.

The song “Face to the Floor” is about Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scam.

“Roswell’s Spell” is a song about questioning the validity of people’s recollection of their alien encounters.

Just noting, not all songs are about pick up trucks and someone’s dog running away.

It's a Deep , Dark . anti Trump political spew referencing Covid and the government response to it ( Without naming names ). Nosferatu- disease-bearing , Plague carrier, vampires. and the video shows the " space man " trying to hide it's effect by burying it in the woods and yet dies as the "all knowing band walks away " If you want to make political "statements " take them to instagram .

I’ve seen Chevelle a couple times, they are pretty good live. I’ve always enjoyed them. Red is a great song. I really try not to get into the meanings behind a lot of songs otherwise I probably wouldn’t enjoy nearly as many of them as I do, with most it’s not that hard to figure out what they are about though. I enjoy anything from Skynyrd, to johnny, to hank jr to staind to Metallica and a hell of a lot more. Skynyrd and Metallica are my two favorites and have been for most of my life but I can appreciate lots of different styles of rock and most country, except most of the new crap of the last 10-15 years. I actually went to the first Orion fest in Atlantic City several years back and saw a lot of the stuff James Hetfield has built and owns. He’s got a awesome collection. Pretty cool guy he is. I met him during that two day festival.

The truck in the video is pretty sweet. Looks to be built pretty nice.
