Re: Flush Mounted Brake Booster?
The PO of my truck tried to do this. He ended up having to cut into the hood support because the booster was to big.

Re: Flush Mounted Brake Booster?
There are a number of threads about this. Mainly an 11" booster will interfere with the shift linkage when flat mounted to the firewall. A 9" might clear, I cannot say. Captain Fab sells a bracket but I haven't tried it myself. Use the search button for Captain Fab brackets.

Re: Flush Mounted Brake Booster?
I did mine years ago so i don't remember all that was done. I used a booster from a mid-80s G20 van. I cut the studs shorter, cut the nuts down and added a hard rubber gasket, mostly as spacer.
I can't stand the original bracket and linkage that puts the MC out so close to the radiator.

Re: Flush Mounted Brake Booster?
Trying to remember more about what I had done. It looks like the bottom two studs of the bracket were cut flush and four holes were drilled for the booster. It looks like only one of the new booster studs goes back through the bracket, but the result is plenty rigid.

Re: Flush Mounted Brake Booster?
On my 68 C10 I used Captain Fab bracket and C5 Corvette booster. Worked very good. Not flush to the fire wall but close.
