1966 paint stripe
I am nearing painting my 1966 C20 Camper special. It has the body side moldings and has never been repainted. The truck color is 521DA (White). What color was the stripe inside the stainless? It appears to have been a silver or perhaps light blue.

Re: 1966 paint stripe
Originally the stripe between was white. Black, red, silver, etc. are commonly added for contrast on a white truck, but from the factory all were white.

Re: 1966 paint stripe
I wonder if Chevy dealerships did what Studebaker dealerships did and change the stripe color on white vehicles. For example, in 1961 Studebaker added a stripe to all of their Hawk cars. The stripe color from the factory was a cream color no matter what color the body was. I've seen dozens of white '61 Hawks but never seen a white/cream one. What I've been told is dealers would pull the side trim and paint the stripe the interior color.
