carb riser
just wondering if any of you have every put a wood carb sacer on I have a pal thats in to wood big time and said they will make one for me just wondering popdad

spacers will give you more high end power, while cutting down in low end tourqe. they are usually not worth the time to install them.

theres no definate answer on whether a spacer will help or hurt you...its one of those things that have too many variables..theyre cheap enough that you just test diff sizes out and see what yeilds the best dyno/track run/driveability

Also on many engines you can build low end torque with a spacer also. A good rule is an open spacer will build high end and a divided spacer will build low. But it is trial and error. I have seen motors make very good numbers with a spacer and others do nothing. But since they are cheap and the install is so easy I say go for it.

crackajacka had a wooden spacer he tried..... think he sold it or is trying too... might talk to him, see what his did.

I installed a four swirl hole 1" spacer on mine. I noticed a increase in low in torque. I can cruise at 1200 RPMs (45 MPH) in OD not bog down. Before I added the spacer the torque was really bad that the engine would struggle. I saw an small increase in gas milage. I've had it for three years with no problems. Cheap enough to try.
